How it works

1

Upload your PDF

Drop any PDF — digital, scanned, or photographed. Bank statements, invoices, reports, and research documents all work.

2

AI finds every table

Our engine identifies table boundaries automatically — no need to specify which pages or which tables. It handles multi-column headers, merged cells, and borderless tables.

3

Download Excel or CSV

Get a clean spreadsheet with every row and column intact. Open in Excel, Google Sheets, or import into any data tool.

Why copy-pasting from a PDF breaks your table

PDFs aren't spreadsheets. The file format stores text as positioned characters, not structured rows and columns.

Column misalignment
PDF copy-paste doesn't preserve column boundaries. Numbers that belong in separate columns get merged into one cell.
Missing data
Cells at the edges of tables often get dropped or merged with adjacent rows during copy-paste from a PDF viewer.
Formatting corruption
Currency symbols, thousand separators, and negative signs often become separate characters — breaking any formula that references them.
Merged headers
Multi-level headers that span multiple columns collapse into a single row, making it impossible to tell which column is which.
Our AI reads the visual structure
Instead of reading character positions, we analyze the visual layout of the page — the same way a human would — to identify columns, rows, and cell boundaries correctly every time.

Works with any PDF type

From bank statements to research papers — if it has a table, we can extract it.

Bank statements
Transaction tables with date, description, debit, credit, and balance columns extracted cleanly — even from scanned PDFs.
Financial reports
Income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow tables from annual reports and 10-K filings pull out without formatting mess.
Research papers
Academic tables with statistical data, measurements, and results extract accurately — headers and footnotes included.
Invoices
Line item tables with SKU, description, quantity, unit price, and totals extract to one clean spreadsheet row per item.
Government data
Census tables, tax forms, and regulatory filings often contain dense structured data — extract it without copy-paste corruption.
Price lists & catalogs
Supplier catalogs and price sheets in PDF format convert to editable Excel tables ready for comparison or import.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with scanned PDFs?+
Yes. For scanned PDFs (images embedded in a PDF container), we run OCR first using Google Cloud Vision, then extract the table structure. Accuracy depends on scan quality — clear, flat scans work best.
What if the PDF has multiple tables on one page?+
Our AI identifies each table separately. If a page has two distinct tables, both are extracted. The output file contains each table in its own section or sheet.
Why does copy-pasting from a PDF viewer break the table?+
PDF doesn't store tables as structured data — it stores text as positioned characters on a page. When you copy-paste, the viewer tries to reconstruct columns from character positions, which frequently fails. Our AI reads the visual structure instead.
Which file formats can I download?+
You can download Excel (.xlsx) or CSV. Excel preserves column types and formatting. CSV is simpler and works with any tool that accepts flat files.
Is this free?+
Yes — up to 3 pages free every month with no account required. For longer PDFs or bulk extraction, paid plans start at $9/month.
Is my PDF kept private?+
Your PDF is processed in memory and discarded immediately after extraction — never stored, never shared. Only the extracted table data is saved to display your results.
