Why your Uber charge is different from the estimate

Route changed
If your driver took a different route, or you changed the destination mid-trip, the actual distance differs from the estimate.
Surge pricing adjusted
Surge pricing can change between when you book and when the trip ends. The final fare reflects the surge at the time of the ride.
Tolls and fees
Tolls, airport pick-up/drop-off fees, and city-specific surcharges are added to the base fare and aren't always included in upfront estimates.
Wait time
Uber charges per minute when the driver is waiting. If you weren't ready when they arrived, wait time charges are added.
Tip
Tips you add after the trip (within 30 days) appear as a separate charge from the ride fare — not combined into one amount.

How to find the trip behind an Uber charge

1.
Open the Uber app and tap the menu icon (☰) → Activity.
2.
Find the trip by date — scroll to match the date on your bank statement.
3.
Tap the trip to see the full fare breakdown: base fare, surge, tolls, fees, and tip.
4.
If you see a charge you don't recognize, tap Help → I have a billing issue for Uber support.
5.
For Uber Eats charges, open the Uber Eats app separately and check your order history there.

Frequently asked questions

What is the UBER TRIP charge on my bank statement?
UBER * TRIP is a completed Uber ride charged to your payment method. The asterisk and reference code after it are Uber's trip identifier. If you don't recognize the exact amount, check your Uber app ride history — the app shows every trip, date, time, route, and fare breakdown.
Why does my Uber charge look different from the estimate?
Uber charges the actual fare, not the upfront estimate. Differences happen due to route changes, surge pricing that changed after booking, tolls, airport fees, waiting charges, tips you added, or a booking fee. You can see the full fare breakdown in the Uber app under Activity → tap the trip → View Receipt.
What is the UBER CASH charge on my statement?
UBER CASH is a balance in the Uber app that can be used for rides and Uber Eats. The charge on your statement is a top-up — Uber Cash was loaded to an account. This is sometimes triggered by a gift card redemption, an automatic reload, or a promotional credit conversion. If you didn't authorize it, check your Uber account for unauthorized access.
What is Uber One on my bank statement?
Uber One is Uber's membership program ($9.99/month or $99.99/year) that gives you 5% Uber Cash back on rides, $0 delivery fees on Uber Eats, and priority support. The charge UBER ONE MEMBERSHIP on your statement is the subscription fee. Manage or cancel it in the Uber app under Account → Uber One.
Why does my statement show a $1 Uber charge?
A $1 (or very small) Uber charge is usually a temporary pre-authorization hold. When you request a ride, Uber charges a small amount to verify your payment method, then charges the actual fare when the trip completes. The $1 hold should drop off within 1–5 business days. If the $1 posts permanently, it may be a booking fee for a cancelled ride.
What is RASIER LLC on my bank statement?
Raiser LLC (sometimes shown as RASIER LLC) is one of Uber's legal operating subsidiaries. Some banks display the registered company name instead of the brand name. If you see RASIER LLC from San Francisco, CA, it's an Uber charge. The phone number 415-986-2701 is Uber's San Francisco headquarters.
