Legacy Citi India statements (now Axis)
Axis Bank acquired Citi India's retail banking business in 2023. Statements issued before the migration still use the old Citi format: first 4 letters of surname (lowercase) + DDMM of DOB. Statements issued after migration follow the Axis format (DDMMYYYY).
How to unlock
- 1Download the PDF from Axis Mobile, Axis Net Banking, or email
- 2Open in Adobe Reader, Preview (Mac), or Chrome
- 3Enter your DOB as DDMMYYYY (eight digits)
- 4To remove the password: File → Print → Save as PDF
- DDMMYYYY — eight digits, leading zeros where needed, no separators
- Verify the DOB on file at Axis matches Aadhaar
- For joint accounts, use the primary holder's DOB
- Call Axis Customer Care on 1800-419-5959 with Aadhaar / PAN if the password won't work
