Axis Bank PDF password format

The format most frequently reported by current third-party instructions is:

FIRST FOUR LETTERS OF NAME IN CAPITALS + DDMM

Example:

Name: Rajesh Kumar Date of birth: 15 March 1990 Password: RAJE1503

Use the name as it appears in the bank’s customer records. If the name has fewer than four letters, use the available letters and then the date portion. This shorter-name rule is reported by third-party guidance, not confirmed in a public Axis Bank password specification (CreditMantri).

Axis Bank’s public e-statement information confirms that statements can be viewed and downloaded digitally, but it does not state that every PDF uses the same password. Therefore, the format above is a practical first attempt, not a bank-published guarantee (Axis Bank e-statements).

The two formats worth trying

The examples in this table are deliberately fake. Do not use them as a real password.

How to open an Axis Bank statement PDF

1. Download the PDF from the original Axis Bank email, internet banking session, mobile banking app, or another official delivery channel.
2. Open the file with a current PDF reader.
3. Enter the first four letters of the name in uppercase followed by the birth day and month in four digits.
4. If the file remains locked, try the date of birth in DDMMYYYY.
5. Check whether the PDF contains instructions in the email that delivered it. Follow those instructions if they differ from the formats above.
6. If neither format works, contact Axis Bank through its current official support channels. Do not send your full password, card PIN, one-time password, or internet-banking credentials to anyone.

For example, if the real customer name were Rajesh Kumar and the birth date were 15 March 1990, the first attempt would be RAJE1503, followed by 15031990. The sample is only an explanation of the format; it is not a real customer credential.

Why Axis Bank statement passwords can differ

A PDF statement is generated by a particular banking or card system. The password rule may depend on whether the document is an account statement, credit-card statement, legacy document, or a statement produced after a system migration. Axis Bank’s public pages describe e-statements and statement access, but they do not provide a single published password table for every product (Axis Bank e-statements, Axis Bank support).

This is why a date-only password may work for one PDF while another requires the first four letters of the customer’s name plus DDMM. A failure with one format does not prove that the PDF is corrupt.

Capital letters and date formatting

Try the following variations only when the primary format does not work:

• RAJE1503
• RAJE15031990
• 15031990

Use capital letters for the name portion unless the statement email explicitly says otherwise. Use four digits for DDMM: 5 March becomes 0503, not 53 or 503.

Do not insert:

• spaces between the name and date;
• a slash between day and month;
• hyphens;
• the customer’s full name;
• the account number unless the bank specifically instructs you to use it.

The exact variations above are troubleshooting attempts based on reported formats, not a confirmed Axis Bank universal rule.

Axis Bank statement ka password kya hota hai?

Axis Bank statement ka password usually account holder ke naam ke pehle chaar capital letters aur date of birth ke day aur month ka combination hota hai. For example, if the name is Rajesh Kumar and the date of birth is 15 March, try RAJE1503.

If that does not work, try the full date of birth in DDMMYYYY, such as 15031990. Axis Bank does not publicly confirm one password format for every statement PDF, so the password may depend on the product or statement-generation system (Axis Bank support).

Axis Bank credit-card statement password

Credit-card statements can be generated by a separate card-servicing system from ordinary savings-account statements. The password shown in third-party instructions for one Axis Bank product may therefore not work for every credit-card PDF.

Try the following order:

1. First four letters of the name in capitals plus DDMM.
2. Date of birth in DDMMYYYY.
3. Any password instruction included in the credit-card statement email.
4. Axis Bank’s official credit-card statement support channel if the PDF remains locked.

Axis Bank’s contact page currently lists retail phone-banking numbers 1800 209 5577 and 1800 103 5577, along with 1860 419 5555 for services where charges may apply (Axis Bank Contact Us). The number 1800-419-5959 appears in older or third-party references, but it was not confirmed on the current official contact page checked for this article.

Axis Bank WhatsApp statement password

An Axis Bank statement received or requested through WhatsApp may still be a password-protected PDF, but the password should be determined from the instruction attached to that specific message or email. There is no publicly confirmed, universal WhatsApp-only password format in the Axis Bank support material reviewed for this article.

Axis Bank’s current contact page identifies WhatsApp Banking as a service reached by sending “Hi” to 7036165000; that is a banking contact number, not a confirmed statement-PDF password (Axis Bank Contact Us).

For a WhatsApp statement, try FIRSTFOURNAME + DDMM first only if the message gives no different instruction. Do not open links from an unverified sender or disclose an OTP in WhatsApp.

Axis Bank mini statement password

A mini statement may be delivered as a message, screen display, or downloadable document depending on the channel. The term “mini statement” does not by itself establish a separate password rule.

If the mini statement is a PDF, try the same reported order:

1. First four letters of the name in capitals plus DDMM.
2. Date of birth in DDMMYYYY.
3. The instruction supplied with the PDF.

If it is displayed directly inside Axis Mobile or internet banking, there may be no separate PDF password. Axis Bank’s official support site provides statement-access services but does not publish a separate mini-statement password rule (Axis Bank support).

Former Citi India customers and Axis Bank statements

Citigroup completed the sale of its India consumer banking business to Axis Bank with effect from 1 March 2023. The transaction covered Citi’s consumer banking activities in India, and relevant consumer employees transferred to Axis Bank (Axis Bank acquisition announcement, Citi announcement).

Former Citi customers may therefore receive statements from an Axis Bank system rather than the older Citi system. The PDF password may not follow the same rule used for an older Citi India statement.

For a former Citi statement now issued through Axis Bank:

1. Read the delivery email or message for a password instruction.
2. Try the current reported Axis format: first four name letters in capitals plus DDMM.
3. Try the full birth date in DDMMYYYY.
4. Use the statement period and account or card details only to identify the correct document; do not treat them as a password unless the bank says so.
5. Contact Axis Bank if the document remains locked.

The migration explains why an older statement and a newer statement for the same customer may behave differently. It does not prove that either format will work for every former Citi account.

What to check when the password does not work

Before contacting the bank, check these common input errors:

• The name is not entered in capitals.
• The customer used the wrong name from the PDF instead of the name recorded by the bank.
• The month or day was entered without a leading zero.
• The password includes spaces or punctuation.
• The PDF was incompletely downloaded.
• The customer is opening an older Citi or legacy statement with a newer Axis format.
• The document is a credit-card statement rather than an account statement.
• The PDF reader is showing a cached or damaged copy.

Download the file again from the original source and test it in another current PDF reader. Do not upload a bank statement to an unknown “PDF unlocker” website, because the document may contain account numbers, balances, addresses, and transaction details.
