YES Bank emails e-statements as password-protected PDFs. The password is always the account holder's date of birth in DDMMYYYY format with no hyphens, slashes, or spaces. This is the standard format used by most Indian banks — see our complete Indian bank password guide for the full list.

How to open a password-protected YES Bank PDF
- 1Download the PDF attachment from the YES Bank email
- 2Open it in Adobe Reader, Preview (Mac), or a Chrome tab
- 3When prompted, type your date of birth as DDMMYYYY (eight digits, no separators)
- 4If you want an unlocked copy: File → Print → Save as PDF. The re-saved file opens without a password.
If the password doesn't work
- Confirm DDMMYYYY format — 8 digits, no separators, leading zeros for single-digit days and months
- Check that the DOB on file at YES Bank matches what you're entering (it follows your Aadhaar / PAN on file)
- For older credit card statements, try your customer ID as a fallback password
- For joint accounts, use the primary account holder's DOB
- If nothing works, call YES Bank customer care on 1800-1200 or visit a branch with your Aadhaar / passport to verify and reset
