Account numbers, sort codes, routing numbers, IBANs, BIC/SWIFTs, full names, postal addresses and postcodes, phone numbers, email addresses, and national ID or tax reference numbers. All transaction data — dates, descriptions, amounts, and balances — is preserved.
Will the transaction data still be readable?
Yes. The redaction keeps every transaction line intact — dates, merchant names, amounts, and running balance are untouched. Only the identifying information at the top or margins of the statement is removed.
What format does the redacted file download in?
The redacted statement downloads as a PDF file with all PII replaced by solid black bars (████████). You can open it in any PDF viewer, share it, or print it. The transaction table structure is preserved as closely as possible.
When do I need to redact a bank statement?
