What types of receipts can it extract?+−

Any receipt in PDF format — grocery, restaurant, gas station, pharmacy, hotel, airline, retail, online orders, medical, and more. For paper receipts, take a clear photo, convert it to PDF (most phones can do this natively), and upload.

What data does it extract from a receipt?+−

Merchant name, transaction date, individual line items (with descriptions, quantities, and unit prices), subtotal, tax amount, total amount, and payment method if shown on the receipt. All fields are output as structured rows in your Excel or CSV export.

Can it handle handwritten or thermal-printed receipts?+−

Thermal-printed receipts (the common grocery store roll paper type) work well when photographed clearly and converted to PDF. Handwritten receipts have lower accuracy but still extract totals and dates reliably. For best results, use a flat, well-lit photo with no shadows across the text.

Can I upload multiple receipts at once?+−

Yes — combine multiple receipt pages into a single PDF and upload it. The AI processes each receipt separately and outputs all of them into one structured spreadsheet. Useful for processing a month of receipts in a single upload.

How is this different from just scanning a receipt?+−

Scanning produces an image of the receipt — you still have to manually enter the data. This tool converts the image to structured, editable data: every line item in its own row, amounts in their own column, ready to sum, filter, or import into accounting software.

Can I import the Excel output into QuickBooks or Xero?+−

Yes — the CSV export can be imported into QuickBooks Online, Xero, Wave, and most other accounting platforms. Check your accounting tool's import format requirements — most accept standard CSV with date, description, and amount columns.
